Spring Season 2021!

Wow! It’s a new year and with all the changes that happened last year, we warmly welcome this one. We have recently received quite a few inquires about our upcoming Spring Season so we want to make sure to update you here.

Our Spring Season usually starts in April and this year is no different. Although planning and planting happens long before then….You see there is a lot that goes into farming and even more that goes into planning and delivering for a CSA.

We start the planning process in December once we have our member surveys and renewals in, praying all the way. From there we take that data, look at weather patterns, see how many new members we can add, and develop a tentative schedule.

Next we began purchasing and preliminary planting happens in January, but really intensifies in February. We plant and overplant to accommodate for whatever life throws at us and then we move forward, adjusting along the way. I did say tentative right???

So when does the Spring Season start anyway? This year it will begin on Monday April 19, 2021 and end on Monday June 14, 2021. If you counted, that is actually 9 weeks, but there is one holiday during the season that falls on Monday May 31, 2021. No deliveries will be made this day.

If you would like to support our farm family, we would love to have you! Each season we gain new members and your support keeps clean, fresh, local food in our community. We all know that the less time food spends in travel, the more nutrients it retains. So we love that we can harvest, package, and deliver within a 24 hour time span. Plus everything we offer is grown right here in the Wiregrass.

Each member, old and new helps us learn and grow. In fact this year we are building our very first high tunnel. We hope that it will be one of many.

Rest assured that your farmers are taking every precaution necessary to protect ourselves and you from any possible spread of COVID-19 or any other communicable diseases. So we will again be offering contactless delivery only.

So many people, including us learned last year that as much as the big businesses would like to serve the public, there just isn’t enough to go around. It would be nice to be able to grow for the entire community, but honestly we like being small because we get to develop relationships and friendships with our members. You should know where your food comes from and your farmer!

Now that you have all the facts about our coming Spring Season, what will you do with them? Well if you’re ready to become a member we still have spots open as of right now. So click here and let’s get you all set for Spring 2021!
